Having started at a relatively young age, Julz was instantly captured by the art of mixing and acquired an addiction for collecting music. A genuine collector of all things 12", Julz has been buying records for many years and continues to grow a collection of diverse 4/4 music.

It's very much quality over quantity for Mr Sanchez who holds down a weekly residency with Pierre-Estienne, Terrence Pearce and Dario Leite at the Waiting Room. The night is called Private Life and is the finest night for house and disco in the city. Julz has held his own amongst the group, bringing to the table a maturity, which allows him to play the opening [warm up set] or close off the night.

When asking Julz about his influences and how he got into playing what he does, it's evident that he has learnt from some of the more seasoned professionals in the city, however his main influence has been his exposure to the European scene and various clubbing institutions such as Panorama Bar etc. The musical education that comes with traveling to places like Berlin is invaluable and has undoubtedly helped him refine his sound.
