BIO:

Karmi started out as a vinyl collector in the mid-80's. In the mid-90's he taught himself to mix & started playing clubs in PE alongside dj's like Munro. In 2000, he moved to Johannesburg.

Karmi has since become a regular fixture in Jhb's nightlife for over 13 years. He was a resident at Jhb's top nightclub - Truth for 11 years. It was there that he created what is now known as "Uptairs @Truth" .
He ran the upstairs dancefloor & focused on booking cutting edge artists who played top quality music. He shared the stage with well-known international dj's such as Konrad Black, Chris Sylvester (Inxec), Terje BakkeBakke, Rodriguez jr, Fur Coat & most notably Lee Burridge from whom he draws most of his inspiration.

Karmi brings his deep understanding & appreciation of music to bear in the legendary late night/early morning sets that he's built his reputation on. His sets are well constructed, intellectual & take you on a journey.

A purist and a perfectionist, Karmi is an influential & respected underground dj. He has many a weapon in his perfectly programmed sets. Karmi's respect & admiration for the music is unquestionable, his skill & ability with the music is undeniable.

Since relocating late in 2014, Karmi will now be bringing his unique sounding House music to the dancefloors of Cape Town
